For Masala Aalu:
Potatoes - 4(medium sized, boiled and mashed)
oil - 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - 1 sprig
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
Lemon Juice- 1 tsp
Jeeravan Masala - 1/4 tsp
For Green Chutney:
Coriander leaves - 1/2 a bunch
Mint leaves - 1/2 of handful
Green chillies - 2 no.
Lemon juice - 1 tsp
Garlic - 2 to 3 cloves
Ginger - 1 inch piece
Desiccated coconut - 2 tbsp (or roasted peanuts - 1 tbsp)
Salt - to taste
Water - a little
Bread slice - 8 no.
Soft Butter - 50g (for 4 sandwiches)
Cucumber - 1 (thinly sliced)
Tomato - 3 (thinly sliced)
Onion - 1 large (finely chopped)
Capsicum - 1 small (finely chopped)
Cheese slice - 4
Grated cheese - as per requirement
Chaat masala - 1 tbsp
Jeeravan Masala - 1/2 tsp
1. Prepare masala aalu by heating oil in a pan. Then add mustard seeds, curry
leaves,coriander leaves and ginger garlic paste to it. Roast it for a few
minutes till the raw aroma of ginger garlic is gone completely. Add mashed
potatoes, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and jeeravan masala to it.
Roast the whole mixture for a few minutes. Finally add lemon juice after
switching off the flame.
2. Prepare green chutney by grinding all its ingredients together keeping in
mind to add the least amount of water while grinding so as to make a chutney
having thick consistency.
3. Now start assembling the sandwiches one by one. Spread soft butter on both
sides of all the bread slices.
Assemble masala aalu, cucumber slices & chopped onion over green
Sprinkle some chaat masala and jeeravan masala over it.
Then place cheese slice, tomato slices, chopped capsicum, grated
cheese & nylon sev over it. Again sprinkle some chaat masala and
